Flies low and slowly over waters edge
Common blue damsel (Enallagma
cyathigerum)Slightly paler blue than the Azure and later
Large red damselfly (Pyrrhosoma
nymphula) Always the earliest to emerge in the spring

All five colour forms in large numbers
